The Video Gaming Act supplies much needed money for treatment services. 25% of the over $6 Million in license fees each year will go to the Dept. of Human Services for treatment of compulsive gambling. There currently is no mandated funding for DHS under all other forms of gaming in the state.

 9:00 a.m.     The Illinois Gaming Board Application Process
       by Paul T. Jenson of Shefsky & Froelich
This presentation will cover the IGB application process for all types of applicants. Attendees will learn the scope of information that is needed to be collected and the means to acquire it in order to submit your license application.  Types of ownership, residency, financing sources and historical issues that apply to individuals and business entities will be covered. The background check process, employee issues, helpful hints and sample questions.

10:30 a.m. Location Specific Licensing Issues
       by Cory Aronovitz of The Casino Law Group
This presentation will cover the various licensing issues as they pertain to gaming locations. In addition, the speaker will cover past and future location issues and their effect on both the location and licensed terminal operators. Location ownership, financing, mortgages, contract for deed, rental agreements, location employees and much more.

1:00 pm      Terminal Operator Eligibility Requirements
       by Paul T. Jenson of Shefsky & Froelich
All aspects of eligibility for a Terminal Operators license will be covered. These include residency, qualifications as defined in the IGB rules, suitable financing and ownership issues. Other topics include simulated gaming device ownership (past and present), best practices looking forward, preparation for licensing and mergers & acquisitions.

2:45 pm     Appeal Process, Summary of Emergency Rules
       by Cory Aronovitz of The Casino Law Group
This presentation will cover the appeal process if required and Mr. Aronovitz will summarize the IGB’s current Emergency Rules for Video Gaming.

3:45 pm     Summary of the Illinois Gaming Board meetings and comments
       by Paul T. Jenson of Shefsky & Froelich
Paul will update the attendees on the latest happenings with the IGB including the February 9th meeting between the IGB and The Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (JCAR)
